In multiplayer mode, all players in a lobby compete simultaneously using a shared letter pool. You can create a private lobby and share the code with friends, or join a public game. The player with the highest score when time runs out wins. Multiplayer games are live — scores update in real time so you always know where you stand.

WordCherry validates words against a large English dictionary containing hundreds of thousands of entries, sourced from the open-source dwyl/english-words list. If a word is a legitimate English word, it is very likely accepted. Proper nouns and abbreviations are generally not valid.

Yes. WordCherry is designed to work on desktop and mobile browsers. On mobile, tap tiles to select and build words. The interface adapts to smaller screens so you can play comfortably on any device without needing an app.

Create a free account and your solo and multiplayer scores will automatically be submitted to the global leaderboard. The leaderboard tracks the top 10 scores for both solo and multiplayer modes separately. Check the Leaderboard page to see where the current top players stand.

Every time you submit a valid word, the tiles you used are replaced with new random ones. You always have 10 tiles available (minus any currently selected). You will never run out of tiles — the supply is unlimited. The only thing that ends the game is the timer reaching zero.
